I had the great opportunity to attend the ISTE conference 2012 in sunny San Diego California.
What an awesome experience to see thousands of educational technology specialists all gathered together in this huge convention center. (Which by the way was about as long as my street). I got to attend this conference with my mom who is also a techie.
The first day of the conference I got a chance to volunteer. I was a "tech Ninja" which on paper the description was to answer technology network questions from the attendees. But it was funny how my times I just directed people to the bathroom.
I got too meet a really cool Technology Director from Canada name Todd. I hope to keep in touch with him and see him at next years conference, which by the way he won a registration for next year.
Unfortunately, I wasn't a big winner of any of the fabulous prizes. Seemed like everyone was giving away an iPad or something. We spent 3 days just going through the exhibit hall it was GINORMOUS.. (is that a word?) I have never seen something so exciting! Of course, they gave away lots of free stuff if you sat in one of the demos.
I got a lot of ideas and new tech gadgets to pass on to my teachers.
I even bought a swivl. How cool? I have so many uses for this new gadget.
Here are few of the new "technologies" that grasped my interest!
Check them out!
